Book 19: Psalms
Psalms 6:6 “I am weary with my groaning: all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.”
Psalms 18:9 “He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet. And he rode upon a cher’-ub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.”
Psalms 24:7 “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of Glory. Se’-lah.”
Psalms 33:17 “An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.”
Psalms 40:1 “I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.”
Psalms 50:9 “I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds. For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?”
Psalms 63:5 "My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches."
Psalms 69:30 “I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs. The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.”
Psalms 77:16 “The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled.”
Psalms 81:2 “Take a psalm and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery. Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.”
Psalms 89:44 “Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his thrown down to the ground. The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Se’-lah.”
Psalms 102:6 “I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert. I watch and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.”
Psalms 106:13 “They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel: But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.”
Psalms 107:23 “They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep. For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.”
Psalms 118:15 “The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly. The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.”
Psalms 121:1 “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.”
Psalms 139:9 “If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.”
Psalms 147:7 “Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God: Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains. He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry. He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.”
